Job Details:
- Full Time – Hourly
- 1st Shift 8am – 4pm (Monday – Friday)
- Starting pay: $20.00 per hour
Basic Job Duties:
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for preparing finished product for shipment and loading trucks.
- Operate a shrink wrapper to wrap finished product on pallet according to the customer’s specifications or best practices. Clear center aisle and wrap as needed.
- Verify that all cartons are labeled and information matches the packing list and bill of lading. Ensure pallet counts are accurate reporting any discrepancies.
- Attach shipping labels and packing list to the pallets according to the customer’s specifications or best practices and segregate by freight company.
- Use a forklift in order to load trucks. Perform trailer inspections.
- Responsible for unloading trucks as needed.
- After trailer inspection, properly load/ship finished product using forklift when necessary.
- Accurately scan materials to racking, floor location, or machine location.
- Assist in managing recycling by loading full Gaylord’s, set-up and replace Gaylord’s, as well as core carts, recycled zipper spools, and palletized corrugate.
- Operate within the Standard Operating Procedures and food safety standards at all times.
- Ensure a clean, orderly and safe work environment.
- Follow all safety procedures with regard to operating a forklift and handling the dock locks and dock door systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Two (2) to five (5) years of experience in Shipping & Receiving required
