Job Details:

  • Full Time – Hourly
  • 1st Shift     6pm – 2pm  (Monday – Friday)

Basic Job Duties:

The Production Supervisor helps manage the activities of the Production Floor primarily through supervision of production staff to achieve optimum quality, cost, efficiency, machine utilization, and performance.

  • Supervise production employees and monitor production to ensure approved standards and specifications are met.
  • Works to optimize production through driving daily priorities.
  • Adheres to Supervisor Standard Work processes and procedures.
  • Analyze procedures and production methods to improve quality, costs or productivity, in keeping with product specifications, good manufacturing practices, Federal safety regulations and Company policies.
  • Participates in twice daily Production meetings.
  • Serves as the main back up to the Operations Manager and Operations Leads.
  • Directly supervises the activities of the Production department personnel. Additionally, is responsible to ensure staffing patterns are fulfilled and work the floor as needed.
  • Actively supports members’ training and professional development.
  • Counsels members in accordance with company policies with issues relating to conduct and performance. Assists with recommendation and implementation of disciplinary actions.
  • Provide the necessary level of training and safety inspections to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Ensure training is coordinated for new employees as well as incumbents so that product quality and work flow are maintained.
  • Review performance of personnel and documents performance enhancement plans or any other disciplinary actions that may required.
  • Provides input on employee compensation and advancement opportunities.
  • Completes Machine Operator and shift turnover sign off sheets.
  • Participates in Shift Turnover meetings.
  • Supervise temporary employees as required. May train as needed.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Supervisor Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible to directly supervise production employees and administer policies and procedures and assist with any employee relations issues and counseling as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Associates Degree in related field of study strongly preferred.
  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years of leadership experience in a manufacturing setting required.
  • Previous experience with 25 or more direct reports required.
